Microphotographs created from freshwater samples collected in Lake Rotsee, Lucerne, Switzerland. Using bright field, dark field and polarisation techniques, the project reveals an invisible ecosystem inhabited by aquatic microorganisms, daphnia, algae and microscopic aquatic life suspended between movement and stillness.
