The photographic series *Lafken Mapu* explores the ancestral territory of the Lafkenche people, whose lives are deeply connected to the sea, the coast, and the western slopes of Chile’s Coastal Range. It is a place where the relationship with the landscape is not merely geographical, but also spiritual and cultural, shaped by the presence of Sumpal, the guardian spirit of the territory, who rewards respect and punishes forgetfulness.
